In Africa, the digital economy continued to expand, driven by increased mobile and internet connectivity. By the end of 2025, nearly half of Africa's population is projected to engage in online purchases of goods and services, a substantial increase from 13% in 2017. The FinTech sector remains a strong contributor to this growth, with the market projected to reach $3.3 billion by 2025. This upward trend underscores Africa's growing appeal to investors focusing on digital products and services.
