The news 🗞️ Swedish Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL) pioneer Klarna KLAR 0.00%↑ just announced the launch of KlarnaUSD, a fully dollar-backed stablecoin designed to fundamentally reduce the cost and friction of cross-border payments.

The move positions Klarna as the first regulated bank to issue a stablecoin on Tempo, a payments-focused blockchain developed by Stripe and venture firm Paradigm.
