You will see it yourself as we’re going to look at Revolut's big e-commerce push & the Super App play (& why and if it makes sense altogether + 5 bonus reads), Adyen, which is the FinTech giant that is somewhat ignored (& why that should change + 2 bonus reads), and see whether Ethereum is finally becoming the ultrasound money (we haven’t seen this before + 2 bonus reads). So let’s jump straight into the awesome stuff:
Revolut's big e-commerce push and the Super App play 📲
The news 🗞 British neobank Revolut has launched a new service called Shops to its Irish users marking the FinTech giant’s yet another big e-commerce push.
The USP 🥊 Shops essentially lets Revolut users browse and buy products from over 1,000 Irish online retailers, all from within the Revolut app.
Retailers involved in the launch include the likes of Ikea, TK Maxx, Smyths Toys, Amazon, and JD Sports, among others.
To incentivize users, Revolut is offering customers who use Shops 3% instant cashback on their spending, and the ability to split their payments using Revolut’s recently-launched Pay Later service.
Ultimately, this new service from Revolut moves it more closer to becoming a Super App. More on this, why they picked Ireland, does it make sense altogether, and what many are missing, here:
