Hey Everyone,

Good morning & happy Thursday! Today, we’re diving deep into Anthropic, which now wants to become the operating layer between every SaaS tool an SME touches (what Claude for Small Business really is, why it matters, & what it means for investors, founders, and SaaS companies + bonus dive into how I turned Claude Cowork into my Personal COO, and Anthropic that just told AI founders exactly what to build in 2026), and Coinbase, which is quietly building a financial superplatform in a difficult market (deep dive into Coinbase’s Q1 2026, breaking down the key financial facts & figures, what they mean, what’s next & whether it’s worth your time and money now + bonus deep dive into the latest financials of it’s close partner Circle inside). So let’s jump straight into the fascinating stuff 🌶️

Anthropic’s Claude for Small Business is not just an AI chatbot. It’s a bid to own the whole SMB back office 🤖📊

The BIG News 🔥 Anthropic simply cannot stop shipping… The AI giant just made its clearest move yet to become the operating layer between every SaaS tool a small business touches, and the playbook looks less like an AI company than like a payroll provider.

Claude for Small Business, launched May 13 inside Claude Cowork, ships 15 agentic workflows and 15 repeatable skills that plug into QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.

No new software to learn. No engineers required. You just toggle it on, pick a job, and Claude executes multi-step work across your entire stack - then pauses for human approval before anything gets sent, paid, or posted.

The target market is 36 million U.S. small businesses generating 44% of GDP, nearly all of which lack the headcount or budget for the kind of orchestrated automation that Fortune 500 companies pay seven figures for. If this works, Anthropic doesn’t just sell AI to small businesses. ClaudeOS becomes the connective tissue between every app they already run 🤖

Let’s dive deeper into this and break down exactly what that means for investors, founders, and the SaaS companies caught in the middle.
