Interactive Brokers just let Grok, Claude, and ChatGPT into your portfolio - on purpose 🤖📊; Meta wants to clone Polymarket & Kalshi, but it can’t clone the regulatory moat 🤷♂️🏦
FinTech is Eating the World, 24 June
Hey Everyone,
Good morning & happy Wednesday! Today we’re diving into investing giant Interactive Brokers, which just let xAI’s Grok, Claude and ChatGPT into your portfolio (what IBKR’s new AI capabilities are all about, how it compares to what Robinhood & eToro have launched, and why it might be the most defensible play + bonus deep dive into Coinbase pivot to Financial OS for AI Agents, how Anthropic wants to be Wall Street’s OS, and AI Playbook for Finance inside), and Meta that now wants to clone Polymarket & Kalshi (how Zuck is using the same playbook all over again, and why this time it’s really different + bonus deep dive into Anthropic, which just told AI founders exactly what to build in 2026 inside). So let’s just jump straight into the interesting stuff 🌶️
Interactive Brokers just let Grok, Claude, and ChatGPT into your portfolio - on purpose 🤖📊
The news 🗞️ One of the most interesting brokerage (& FinTech to an extent) decisions this month wasn’t a fee cut, a new asset class, or a new stablecoin. It was a protocol choice.
Interactive Brokers IBKR 0.00%↑ just connected Grok (now part of SpaceX), Claude, and ChatGPT to live trading accounts across 170+ global markets, all through MCP, a single open standard that makes the AI model layer interchangeable.
Interactive Brokers’ integration with Grok in action.
No other major broker has done this. FinTech competitors Robinhood and eToro are placing very different bets on how AI and trading converge.
Most importantly, not all three models survive contact with regulators.
Let’s unpack this.
